What vehicles are considered eligible?
To be eligible for a contribution under Stream 2, the vehicle(s) impacted or purchased as part of the project must be within the following weight classes:

Class 4 | Between 6,350 kg and 7,257 kg |

Class 6 | Between 8,845 kg and 11,793 kg |
Class 7 | 11,793 kg and 14,969 kg |
Class 8 | More than 14,969 kg |
Note: Cargo vans, cutaway vans, and step vans for commercial use are eligible vehicles.
What vehicles are considered ineligible?
- SUVs;
- Pickup trucks;
- Public transit buses;
- School buses;
- Off-road vehicles used for recreational purposes;
- Marine or air transportation vehicles; and
- Vans that are not cargo, cutaway, or step used for commercial purposes.
Note: For repower projects the vehicle(s) must be in service at the time of application.
