Personal vehicles

There are many things to consider when you buy a new vehicle: price, comfort, styling, environmental factors and more. Remember as you shop that fuel is an expense you’ll be paying for a long time. If you choose the most fuel-efficient vehicle that meets your everyday needs, drive it in fuel-efficient ways and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations, you’ll save money for years to come.

Your vehicle choice affects the environment

The more fuel your vehicle burns, the more greenhouse gases it produces, mostly in the form of carbon dioxide, or CO2. For every litre of gasoline your vehicle uses, it generates about 2.3 kilograms (kg) of CO2. Although not directly harmful to our health, CO2 emissions contribute to climate change.
