Funds are available to support the deployment of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure. Reliable and extensive charging infrastructure is critical to helping Canadians make the switch to ZEVs and help communities across Canada accelerate towards a sustainable and prosperous future.

Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP)

NRCan's time-limited request for proposals focusing on electric vehicle (EV) charger deployment in transportation corridors and communities. The Program also addresses EV charger deployment for private use in multi-unit residential buildings, at workplaces and for vehicle fleets.

Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) projects

Open for applications

Financing for large-scale ZEV charging and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure delivered by the private sector that is revenue-generating and in the public interest.

Funding through delivery organizations

Temporarily closed for applications

Government organizations, public utilities or not for profit organizations are eligible to help deliver a component of the ZEVIP funding as a delivery organization.

Zero Emission Transit Fund

Closed for applications

Funding to support public transit and school bus operators plan for fleet electrification, purchase zero emission buses, and build supporting infrastructure.

Municipal Fleet Electrification | Green Municipal Fund

Open for applications

Funding for feasibility studies and capital projects that support Canadian municipalities and their partners to transition to zero emission fleets.
