Canada Greener Homes Loan – Applications closed: You can no longer apply for a loan. October 1, 2025, was the last day to apply. For details, visit the Canada Greener Homes Loan page.
December 31, 2025, was the last day for your energy advisor and service organization to submit your documents. Requests submitted by the deadline will continue to be processed.
December 1, 2025, was the deadline for Ontario applicants to complete their post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation.
On February 5, 2024, Enbridge Gas Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+ program) closed intake of new applicants to the HER+ program. Pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations must have been completed by that date.

Ontario homeowners who applied after January 4, 2023, should refer to the Enbridge Gas Home Energy Rebate Plus program (HER+) for information.
Ontario homeowners who applied before January 4, 2023, can use the Canada Greener Homes portal to check on the status of the application.
The Canada Greener Homes Grant was co-delivered by Natural Resources Canada and Enbridge Gas in Ontario under the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program.

Unsolicited phone calls or door-to-door visits—Remain vigilant!
NRCan has not approved any third parties to make unsolicited contact with homeowners to register for or participate in the Canada Greener Homes Grant. The Government of Canada, NRCan and its family of brands (ENERGY STAR, EnerGuide) never solicit over the telephone, or by email or go door-to-door asking to enter Canadians’ homes to inspect, sell, or rent heating and cooling products. EnerGuide home energy evaluations are performed by licensed service organizations only at the request of homeowners. Learn how to recognize energy scams.
