Renewing Your XRF Analyzer Operator Certification
NRCan NDTCB Service fees update
The NRCan NDTCB is implementing a service fees update to existing fees; this update will take effect April 1, 2023. Application and fee submissions to the NRCan NDTCB that are postmarked, emailed or faxed after March 31, 2023 are subject to the new fee schedule.
New Electronic Payment System
The NDTCB has introduced an important update to its program for all users. An electronic payment system has been introduced to provide flexibility when applying for certification. Pre-authorized payment included with an application will still be processed. If payment is needed to process your application, you will receive a specific email from the NRCan NDTCB providing you with the appropriate payment link to our secure online payment system.
Renewing your x-ray fluorescence (XRF) certification extends its period of validity by five (5) years from the date of issue of initial certification or last recertification.
As an XRF operator, it is your responsibility to be aware of the date on which your XRF certification expires, and whether you are required to renew or recertify. As your expiry date approaches, you should apply to the Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Non-Destructive Testing Certification Body (NDTCB) for renewal or recertification. NRCan will not notify you that it is time for renewal or recertification. To find out when you are due for renewal and/or recertification, view the Certified Personnel Directory.
