Project Objectives

This project will support the Hamlet of Paulatuk and the Paulatuk Energy Working Group in completing their community energy plan and establishing a wind project with a battery energy storage system (BESS) to displace diesel use and electrify building heating.

Expected Results

This project aims to promote sustainability and inclusivity, ensuring clean energy solutions that enhance the community's quality of life. This project will also include engagement activities to complete an existing community energy plan. Community engagement sessions will gather input from diverse stakeholders, including youth, Elders, the Hunters and Trappers Association, and the Hamlet Council. Collaborating with ATCO Electric will provide essential project management expertise and technical support for this project.
