Canada has the resources, expertise and partnerships needed to build secure and resilient critical minerals supply chains.
Canada’s critical minerals advantage spans a wide range of winning conditions from its abundant resources and skilled workforce to its competitive policy environment, funding instruments, strategic infrastructure, and strong relationships with Indigenous and global partners.
Canada offers significant deposits of the minerals essential to clean technologies, advanced manufacturing and national security, supported by internationally recognized expertise in mining, geoscience and engineering. Investors benefit from access to clean and reliable energy in many regions; strong environmental, labour and governance standards; and integrated transportation and trade links to major global markets. Canada also provides opportunities for meaningful Indigenous economic participation and partnership, as well as public programs that support research, infrastructure, project development and supply chain growth.
Together, these strengths position Canada as a secure, responsible and reliable partner in global critical minerals supply chains.
About the Showcase
The Showcase highlights critical minerals projects across Canada, increasing their visibility among potential investors, processors, manufacturers, customers, technology providers, Indigenous development corporations, governments and international partners.
It includes advanced critical minerals mining, processing and recycling projects. Exploration and mining projects were generally required to have a publicly available pre-feasibility study or feasibility study completed or updated since 2016. Publicly announced processing and recycling projects were assessed individually.
The project list was developed in collaboration with provincial and territorial governments. Profiles draw on information available from public sources as of September 2026 and are subject to change as projects advance.
