Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to build and deploy a real-time mesh network for methane monitoring, designed to be economical at scale and can operate in off-grid facilities.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Set up a wireless mesh network that continuously monitors methane across large areas without needing telecom infrastructure.
  2. Enable real-time detection of fugitive methane emissions and provide actionable insights for rapid repair, ensuring operators can minimize leaks and improve mitigation effectiveness.
  3. Deliver a precise, cost-effective system to help regulators monitor emissions and assess climate change mitigation technologies.
  4. Improve accuracy, enabling stakeholders to report measurement-based emissions instead of using standard emission factors.
