Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to develop a solution to optimize the charging process of lithium-ion batteries in northern or remote regions, in order to improve efficiency, ensure safety and preserve the health of components over time. Through this project, a module will be developed to enhance vehicle to charging infrastructure communication to optimize charging at the cell level.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Improve the performance of electric vehicles in cold climates, ensuring better reliability and efficiency in winter.
  2. Extend battery life, reduce maintenance costs, accelerate charging by at least 10%, thus reducing range anxiety and facilitating longer trips.
  3. Strengthen consumer confidence, promote the adoption of electric vehicles and support more sustainable transportation in Canada.
