Project Objectives
The objective of this project is to advance geothermal energy knowledge, targeted exploration and test drilling plans in Daylu Dena territory around Lower Post, British Columbia. The project will build on the Proponent’s previously completed early-stage exploration, capacity building, and engagement activities.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Support remote Indigenous communities in transitioning to renewable energy and develop strategies to reduce diesel and fossil fuel use for heat and electricity generation.
- Identify geothermal resource development opportunities in the Lower Post region that reduce diesel and fossil fuel use, create local jobs, and enable economic development.
