Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to expand on the Kugaaruk Energy Efficiency Program (KEEP), which funds energy efficiency upgrades for private and public housing in the Hamlet of Kugaaruk.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Enhance energy efficiency in private and public housing in the Hamlet of Kugaaruk, delivering social, economic and environmental benefits to build more resilient Canadian communities.
  2. Implement cost-effective energy efficiency measures to maximize energy savings and significantly reduce diesel use in the Hamlet of Kugaaruk.
  3. Support program staff employment, align with community priorities, and enhance quality of life through improved thermal comfort and healthier home ventilation.
