Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to create a new regulatory team within the Proponent’s organization to develop a roadmap for regulatory and technical change, explore innovative regulatory tools, and analyze disproportionate impacts from existing regulatory mechanisms.

1. Foster a more dynamic, modernized decision-making ecosystem in the energy sector to promote innovation while maintaining affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy services for Canadians.
2. Increase publicly available regulatory pathways and tools to modernize research and engagement with regulators.
3. Equip energy sector decision-makers and stakeholders with knowledge and tools to drive regulatory innovation and technical change.
