Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to demonstrate three units of proprietary Hybrid Energy Management System (hEMS) Version 3 (V3) at two B2Gold remote arctic sites (Goose Mine & Marine Laydown Area) in Nunavut, Canada.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Support Canada’s 2050 net zero emission target.
  2. Position Canada as a leader in energy management technologies.
  3. Position a Canadian technology company as a leading innovator in energy management and high-power output energy storage technologies that support mining decarbonization worldwide.
  4. Develop critical energy management technologies for remote industrial facilities and communities, significantly reducing energy costs for the mining industry and remote communities.
