Project Objectives
The objective of this project is to demonstrate the phased deployment and operational performance of the Proponent’s modular 2 MWth concentrating solar power (CSP) technology to provide renewable heating within an agri-industrial facility producing mineral-based soil amendments.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Demonstrate Canada's first CSP system providing process heat to an industrial agricultural facility, testing the viability of the Proponent’s plug-and-play renewable heat technology for industrial decarbonization.
- Assess the technology’s potential to reduce industrial emissions, benefiting all Canadians.
- Validate performance data to enable broader adoption, diversify energy systems, and reduce emissions from large industrial emitters across Canada.
- Support local employment by creating skilled jobs.
