Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to advance methane measurement with Canada's first controlled release winter test campaign, and the creation of an additional test site to support regulatory-ready cleantech, in particular satellite sensors.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Improve dispersed methane measurement and validate technologies supporting Canada’s greenhouse gas reduction targets.
  2. Support cleantech regulations and policies through project results.
  3. Provide satellite validation services to regulators and industry, helping Canadian companies stay competitive and meet international standards.
  4. Enable stakeholders to use data generated at the test site to advance technologies, improve detection algorithms, and validate satellite data products.
