Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to develop an exhaust-treatment device to reduce uncombusted methane in the exhaust streams of stationary combustion engines used in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Provide a cost-effective, practical methane abatement solution for stationary combustion engines, for which few commercially available solutions exist.
  2. Strengthen Canada’s leadership in methane abatement and emissions reduction technologies.
  3. Foster job creation and investment in Canada’s clean-tech sector, while supporting the development of domestic manufacturing and servicing expertise.
  4. Deliver benefits to industry, including Canadian oil and gas producers, by enabling regulatory compliance while maintaining operational performance.
