Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to increase the capacity of regulators and implementers to modernize demand-side management (DSM) strategies by publishing reports on program screening and evaluation, demand flexibility, and equity.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Provide publicly accessible information to help Canadians and energy sector decision-makers modernize DSM strategies, improving affordability, customer participation, and system responsiveness.
  2. Explore solutions to address First Nations utility arrears, promoting affordability and equity.
  3. Foster stakeholder collaboration on DSM’s role in achieving net-zero goals, leveraging digital technologies, and addressing emerging utility system challenges.
  4. Enhance stakeholder knowledge through reports, workshops, and research, enabling more informed decision-making.
