Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to demonstrate an aggregated approach to deep energy retrofits in the north, and assess the impact on project duration, construction cost, as well as the total cost of building ownership (TCBO).

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions in existing homes.
  2. Improve energy efficiency, comfort, and quality of existing housing while reducing long-term TCBO.
  3. Provide insights into the technical and economic feasibility of Energiesprong-style deep energy retrofits and support the business case for panelized exterior deep energy retrofits.
