Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to develop and optimize a new concrete curing process with the potential to use industrial waste streams. The process will support new opportunities for industrial emitters to utilize flue-gas emissions and develop carbon negative concrete.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

1. Support Canada’s 2050 net-zero targets by reducing carbon emissions.
2. Advance Canada as a clean technology hub.
3. Generate intellectual property.
4. Promote knowledge sharing through industry and academic partnerships.
5. Diversify the construction industry through sustainable concrete solutions.
