Project Objectives
The objective of the project is to advance the electrochemical reduction of CO₂ from a laboratory scale to a pre-industrial demonstration in order to provide an alternative for conventional raw material production.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Enable permanent CO₂ sequestration in materials, such as incorporating CO₂-derived formate salts into concrete.
- Generate Canadian owned IP on CO₂ conversion systems and processes.
- Share findings through high-impact journals and cleantech conferences.
- Engage with Canadian and International standards bodies.
