Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to advance CERT's system to convert air-to-ethylene, a precursor to sustainable aviation fuel.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Provide equitable access to clean fuel production, including in remote communities.
  2. Reduce reliance on fossil fuels and potential environmental impacts near large refineries.
  3. Strengthen supply chain independence by reducing Canadian communities’ reliance on external sources of feedstocks for fuel production.
  4. Support the development of a skilled cleantech workforce in Canada by creating employment, co-op, and internship opportunities for university graduates.
