Project description

Our team is investigating methods of hydrogen production from methane including natural gas decarbonization in a heat regenerative furnace. We seek to determine if it is feasible to produce hydrogen for a variety of uses in the industrial and power generation sectors.

Much of our efforts are devoted to developing a direct carbon fuel cell, which could turn the pure carbon from natural gas decarbonization into high-efficiency electricity, while producing a pure CO2 stream for sequestration or utilization.

Our team is working with several industrial partners.
