The Prince Edward Island Regional Energy and Resource Table (Regional Table) was launched in October 2022. It brings together the Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island, with collaboration from Indigenous leaders and key interested parties. The Regional Table supports Prince Edward Island’s ambitious goal of becoming Canada’s first net-zero province. To date, 3 opportunity areas have been identified that could significantly enhance and expand the province’s competitive advantages in a low-carbon economy:
