Forest Pest Management Forum
The 65th Annual Forest Pest Management Forum (December 6 to 8, 2022), will be held in-person at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown in Ottawa, Ontario and Virtually via Zoom hosted by the Canadian Institute of Forestry website (CIF).
Organized by Natural Resources Canada in support of the National Forest Pest Strategy, the Forum is the largest and most significant gathering of forest pest management experts, managers and practitioners in Canada. Federal, provincial, territorial, municipal, industrial and nongovernmental organizations meet to discuss and coordinate research related to forest insect and disease disturbances.
The objectives of the Forum include sharing information on:
- current and future pest conditions
- pest control operations
- environmental issues
- the development of alternatives to chemical insecticides
- new technology
- the latest research findings
