Regional Energy and Resource Tables
Engagement
The Regional Tables are designed to be collaborative and include:
- Establishing partnerships between the federal government and individual provincial and territorial governments to identify and accelerate opportunities to build on their respective strengths and recognize their unique mixes of natural resources
- Tailoring Indigenous engagement to integrate perspectives at the outset and advance reconciliation
- Enlisting the input and advice of targeted experts, essential stakeholders, and other key partners
Over the last 2 years, we have been engaging with provincial and territorial governments, Indigenous partners, industry associations, labour groups, non-governmental organizations and think tanks/thought leaders, as well as hosting more than 50 in-depth engagement sessions/meetings related to the economic opportunities available in each region.

Indigenous partnerships
Through the Regional Tables, we have committed to engaging with and hearing from Indigenous partners from the outset. This ongoing collaboration is critical to ensuring that Indigenous perspectives are captured and inform every step of the Regional Table process.
