Project Objectives

Evelyn Allen, CEO and co-founder of Evercloak, is looking to create nanofilms that reduce the energy required and greenhouse gases emitted for commercial and residential air-conditioning and dehumidification systems. Evercloak is aiming to reduce industrial and commercial building costs by as much as 70 percent, and the expanded energy in hot humid areas by up to 78 percent.

Expected Results

Evercloak is building on existing research on producing nanomaterial coatings using materials like graphene. Evercloak’s approach, unlike previous research, is expected to be able to produce these coatings cost-efficiently at scale, allowing them to be introduced into commercial applications such as water purification, energy storage, corrosion prevention as well as sensing and smart packaging.
