Project Objectives
The objective of this FEED study is to assess the opportunity for carbon capture and deep on-site sequestration integration at the Bethune mine. CCUS would improve existing process and significantly reduce GHG emissions of existing operations.
The project will explore the possibility of a regional conveyance network to interconnect with a larger carbon capture industrial hub with common carbon trunkline.
Expected Results
The FEED study results will help to create new CCUS knowledge transfer, increase technological readiness and process improvements to reduce GHG emissions in Canada, as well, it expects to contribute to Saskatchewan’s economy through job creation.
