Project Objectives
The objective of this project is to reduce energy use and natural gas consumption for Gordon Bell High School by conducting a deep energy retrofit. It will also produce a retrofit guide to be used for other deep energy retrofits in schools.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Develop a Retrofit Guide to share insights across Manitoba and Canada, integrating project knowledge into Red River College courses, showcasing a pathway to decarbonize schools.
- Create strong potential for replicability to reduce costs.
- Disseminate valuable knowledge.
- Design a school that is both resilient and comfortable, while reducing operating costs and GHG emissions.
