Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to reduce energy use and natural gas consumption for Gordon Bell High School by conducting a deep energy retrofit. It will also produce a retrofit guide to be used for other deep energy retrofits in schools.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Develop a Retrofit Guide to share insights across Manitoba and Canada, integrating project knowledge into Red River College courses, showcasing a pathway to decarbonize schools.
  2. Create strong potential for replicability to reduce costs.
  3. Disseminate valuable knowledge.
  4. Design a school that is both resilient and comfortable, while reducing operating costs and GHG emissions.
