Project Objectives
The objective of this project is to increase the uptake of deep energy retrofits among social housing buildings in eastern Ontario.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Develop a model for aggregated deep energy retrofits in social housing.
- Establish a framework for large-scale purchasing agreements to benefit retrofits.
- Identify pathways to implementing and scaling up retrofits, covering technical, regulatory, and financial aspects.
- Improve access to retrofit financing for social housing providers.
- Reduce retrofit costs and planning time by creating standardized affordable models.
- Drive local manufacturing of key retrofit materials through economy of scale.
- Support social housing providers in eastern Ontario with planning, execution, and outcome monitoring of retrofit projects.
