Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to drive market transformation towards rapid-deployable deep energy retrofit solutions for Ontario’s existing social housing Part-9 row housing and MURBs through collaborative engagement with key market actors, development of resources to support capacity building and training, and complementary targeted market intervention activities.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

1. Enhance future improvements to energy efficiency, comfort, and quality in existing social housing by enabling coordinated deep energy retrofit projects, leading to future reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
2. Develop technical approaches and business cases to facilitate retrofit projects, while convening stakeholders to establish a pipeline for future projects.
