Project Objectives
The goal of this project is to advance the knowledge base of high temperature steam electrolysis for hydrogen and syngas production from CO2 captured from a cement plant.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Reduce carbon emissions in cement production, aiding industry decarbonization.
- Address challenges in synthetic fuel manufacturing via CO2 capture and electrochemical conversion.
- Identify modifications needed for solid oxide electrolyser use with cement-derived CO2 and optimize operating conditions for better cell performance and longevity.
