Project Objectives
The objectives of this project include the development, adoption, and updating of codes and standards for electrified transportation. In addition to codes and standards development, the activities outlined in the work plan encompass research, workshops, national and international standards activities, committee development, and project management.
Expected Results
This project aims to:
- Develop codes and standards for electrified transportation through CSA Group’s accredited processes that help mitigate damage to property, workers, and consumers.
- Support the safe and reliable deployment of zero emission vehicles and infrastructure while maintaining a resilient electrical grid to enhance Canada’s global competitiveness.
- Help create a seamless transportation system in key ZEV corridors, and across the Canadian and U.S. border, through harmonization of codes and standards.
- Conduct standardization research to better understand forward looking technologies for EV charging, energy storage, and different modes of electrified transportation.
