Buying, selling and storing explosives
The requirements to buy, sell and store industrial explosives, rocket motors and special purpose explosives depend on the type and quantity of explosives. You must be 18 or older to handle explosives unless exempted by the Explosives Act or the Explosives Regulations.
The following guidance is for anyone buying, selling and/or storing industrial explosives, rocket motors or special purpose explosives such as flares or reactive targets. For situations not covered here, including exemptions and conditions, consult the Explosives Regulations.
