Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is committed to protecting the privacy rights of individuals.

Personal information collected by NRCan is protected in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act. Submission of your personal information constitutes your consent to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of your personal information by NRCan. This information is being collected and used under the department’s legislative authority of the Natural Resources Act section 6(i) and will be retained until such time an unsubscribe email is received or a request is received to remove your email from the database.

All unsubscribe emails will be purged once the Mailchimp account is deactivated. The individual must draw a distinction between personal information held by NRCan and that held by other institutions or jurisdictions. Individuals to whom the personal information pertains have the right to the protection of and access to their personal information under the Privacy Act, subject to certain exceptions and exemptions.
