Process integration is a highly effective approach to optimizing energy consumption and thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions in large and complex industrial facilities with energy-intensive systems.

Union Gas offers a range of financial incentives to its major commercial and industrial consumers in order to encourage and support energy saving projects. Financial assistance is made available for energy assessments, including process integration studies. Union Gas also helps fund the purchase and installation of new equipment which enables a more efficient use of natural gas.

Funding for Process Integration Studies

Available funding for process integration studies can cover up to 66% of study costs, up to a maximum of $20,000.

Funding for the Purchase and Installation of New Efficient Equipment

For the implementation of energy saving measures, financial assistance can cover 15% of related costs, up to a maximum of $40,000. The total funding allowed is limited to $250,000 per year and per site.
