Full implementation of the Hydrogen Strategy can:
- Position Canada to become a world-leading supplier of clean hydrogen and fuel cell technologies
- Establish a pan-Canadian low-carbon intensity hydrogen base for both domestic and international consumption
- Support a nationwide hydrogen refuelling network with more than 5 million fuel-cell electric vehicles on the road
- Generate more than 350,000 high-paying jobs from coast to coast and lead to a $50 billion domestic hydrogen sector
- Position hydrogen as a key enabler to help Canada reach net-zero emissions with an annual reduction of greenhouse gases of up to 190-megatonnes of CO2e
