Federal funding for wages and training is available for public and private sector employers in the natural resources sector.
Receive funding for a full-time, paid youth position through the Science and Technology Internship Program – Green Jobs. Eligible positions must be in the natural resources sector, which includes green jobs in energy, forestry, mining and critical minerals, earth sciences, and clean technology.

Who can apply?
You must be an organization in the natural resources sector who can offer youth full-time (minimum 30 hours per week; some exceptions may apply), quality employment or skills training for up-to-12 months. This includes:
- Legal entities incorporated or registered in Canada, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations
- Indigenous organizations (including Band Councils, Tribal Councils and self-government entities)
- Provincial, territorial, regional, and municipal governments and their departments and agencies
