Reported Case for 2011-2012, 1st Quarter
Disclosures were received under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act in which it was alleged that a Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Executive used his influence with his subordinates to hire a non-public servant with whom he had a personal relationship. During the investigation, the Executive admitted the actions and it was determined that the allegations were founded. As a result of this founded disclosure, disciplinary action was taken. The Executive is no longer employed in the Public Service of Canada.
