Tackling the Spruce Budworm Pest
The Government of Canada announced in Budget 2018 an investment of $74.75 million over five years to combat the spruce budworm in Atlantic Canada. The funding will help reduce the effects of this insect, protect our forests and forest-dependent communities, fund science and research, and strengthen Atlantic Canada’s economy.
