Delegate an energy efficiency leader

A good leader is key to making sure that your team does its best work by keeping everything running smoothly. In an integrated design approach, the lead architect typically drives the creative design process, but facilitating and project management is delegated to someone else. This person may be another architect, or it may be a green building facilitation expert brought in specifically for this purpose. Either way, the person should be someone with the vision, capacity and authority to assess and act on day-to-day financial implications and long-term business impacts. The facilitator will be the one to ensure that the design as a whole integrates seamlessly, so this person also has to have the communication skills to work effectively with all parties.
