No, we can’t prevent them entirely. However, we can reduce and prevent the risks associated with forest fires.

It’s important to realize that it is, of course, impossible to eliminate factors such as lightning, drought and winds.

However, what we can do, as individuals or as a community, is to mitigate the potential effects of fires, but above all to prevent them from starting in the first place by complying with the regulations and restrictions issued by provincial and territorial agencies.

It’s important to understand how fires work, how they start and how they can affect different environments, communities and infrastructure.

So, by studying them, we gain a better understanding of all these processes, and this can help us reduce potential impacts and maintain the health of these ecosystems.
