Yukon Mining Royalties
The Yukon Mining Royalties is stipulated in the Quartz Mining Act. The Yukon finalized the Devolution Transfer Agreement with the Government of Canada in October 2001. According to the Yukon Act that came into effect
on April 1, 2003, the Government of Yukon has direct control over public lands and mineral resources.
Northwest Territories Mining Royalties
The Northwest Territories Mining Royalties is stipulated in the Northwest Territories Lands Act. The Northwest Territories made the Devolution a reality on April 1, 2014 and became responsible for managing public land, water, and resources in the Northwest Territories. The Northwest Territories Devolution Act (Assented to March 25, 2014) replaces the Northwest Territories Act to implement certain provisions of the Northwest Territories Lands and Resources Devolution Agreement or make amendments to the Territorial Lands Act, the Northwest Territories Waters Act, the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act, other Acts and certain orders and regulations.
Nunavut Mining Regulations
The Nunavut Mining Royalties is described in The Nunavut Mining Regulations that apply to Crown lands in Nunavut, including lands under the administration and control of the Commissioner of Nunavut.
