Project Objectives

The Haida Enterprise Corporation is engaging with the citizens of Haida Gwaii to develop a community energy plan with a focus on a large biomass facility to reduce diesel use in the communities.

Expected Results

Through community engagement and training, the Haida Enterprise Corporation will develop a plan that meets community needs and priorities. Energy education, training, and engagement are key components of this project and will provide community members with relevant knowledge and skills to best articulate their energy needs while decreasing costs associated with energy.
